$TWTR: Content creators ultimately have no control over distribution on major social media platforms | Dec 2019

Thread about @Quora.

I joined Quora a long time ago, but didn’t pay much attention to it for a long time. Recently, I got interested in it and started participating actively. Quora is a place where people ask questions, and you can choose to answer them.

But Quora, like Twitter and Facebook and Google, doesn’t like people telling the truth on their forum. So, they hide behind “policies”, as all leftist social media platforms do, to hide content you write that they don’t like.

You can appeal, if you want, but they will often ignore your appeals (and you) and continue their censorship. What’s even more frustrating is that they NEVER tell you what policy you have violated. You’re supposed to figure that out yourself, as if that’s possible.

I put up with it for a while, because I think it’s important that conservative voices be heard but even more because I think that facts matter. My posts on Quora were sometimes like my threads: filled with links to sources that document what I’m saying.

But recently, they’ve begun “collapsing” my answers more and more. “Collapsing” means hiding them so no one knows that they’re there. So, I decided it was a waste of my time to be writing and researching on a platform that hid my content from its viewers.

Yesterday, I decided to quit Quora. If they don’t appreciate my content, then they don’t deserve to have it. I read the rules carefully. Quora claims that, if you delete your account, they delete all your content. Guess what. They lied.

I deleted my account, but my content is still there. You can view it right now, even though they CLAIM they deleted it. So, Quora turns out to be just another censoring, leftist, lying social media platform that doesn’t care about facts.

At some point, this has to change. But it will never change so long as people support these platforms. The problem is, no one is coming up with a truly open social media platform that allows ideas to flourish.

At the end of the day, that’s the leftists’ goal. Silence debate. Hide the truth so that people can be deceived. And Quora is one fine example of that in action.
