Listening to @mrjamesob today, he asked the question: “What have Harry & Meghan done wrong?”— Damon Evans (@damocrat) January 9, 2020
Watched a load of videos of her and concluded: it’s not about what they’ve done wrong, it’s about what she represents: feminism, activism, diversity etc.
All the things ‘they’ hate.
Markle on a water project in Rwanda: “These girls are able to stay in school, because they don’t have to walk hours each day to get water, and this water source has changed the entire community. It’s not just about clean drinking water, it’s about education.”— Damon Evans (@damocrat) January 9, 2020
Markle: “I think it’s really great to be a feminist and be feminine, to embrace both.”— Damon Evans (@damocrat) January 9, 2020
Larry King: “Is feminism still a good word?”
Markle: “Yes, it’s not the F word.”
Markle at Grenfell community kitchen: “I had just recently moved to London and felt immediately embraced by the women in the kitchen. Also, to be in this city & to see, in this one small room, how multicultural it was. I feel so proud to live in a city with so much diversity”— Damon Evans (@damocrat) January 9, 2020
Markle on donating: “Community is going through your closet and saying, this is the blazer I wore when I nailed my first job interview. I don’t need it now because I’m where I want to be, but if I can share that blazer and be part of another woman’s success, that’s community”— Damon Evans (@damocrat) January 9, 2020
Markle on empowerment: “I hear a lot of people saying, when speaking of girl’s empowerment, ‘You’re helping women find their voices’ and I fundamentally disagree with that, because women don’t need to find their voice, they have a voice, they need to feel empowered to use it”— Damon Evans (@damocrat) January 9, 2020
As a republican, this was a strange thread to put together. I don’t follow the Royals, and I didn’t know much about Markle before I watched a load of videos today. But now I understand why so many idiots hate her: she’s a decent woman.— Damon Evans (@damocrat) January 9, 2020
Ok, that’s enough monarchy for me.
